Introduction

This pristine 30000 acre hunting area varies from dense mountain ranges to open wooded savannah plains and rocky outcrops. This diverse landscape ensures excellent trophy quality and is home to an abundance of game species such as Leopard, Kudu, Sable and Wildebeest to name but a few.

Health & medical

No vaccination or medication is required, as we do not have any tropical diseases such as malaria. Should you wish to visit the Kruger National Park or other areas it is recommended that precautionary medication be taken for malaria.

Clothing

Khaki coloured, lightweight clothing, long or short sleeved shirts and long trousers will be sufficient. A jacket and a sweater are suggested for early mornings and nights. A good pair of walking boots is recommended. A cap/hat will protect you against the African sun as well as sunglasses. Don’t forget a camera to take pics of your unforgettable safari.

Firearms

We strongly advise that you bring your own weapons and ammunition. These, however, can be hired locally at a nominal fee. Rifles available vary from 375 down to 223, as well as shot guns. A minimum of a 375 is allowed for dangerous game. A 300 and 375 are good all round calibers for most plainsgame. 80 Rounds of ammunition should be sufficient, however, not more than 200 rounds are permitted per person, per caliber. A firearm licence is required and a US citizen should have a 4457 form. On your arrival, you will be issued a temporary permit. Our lodge, with its beautiful views of the Marico valley, affords our visitors the opportunity to see the increasing numbers of Sable, Buffalo, Red hartebeest, Rhino, Giraffe, Kudu and many more species that roam the 30000 acres surrounding the lodge.

The camp comprises a main lodge and 8 comfortable thatched chalets with en-suite bathrooms. The camp is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities such as hot & cold running water, electricity and a daily laundry service to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The mouth watering traditional African cuisine ,prepared by Kathy and her team, is enjoyed in the dinning room, or under the starlit African sky in our lapa area, where the day's hunting experiences are relived amongst the smells of the log fire and the sounds of the African night.
